The IRA is primarily a "green energy" construction initiative which became effective January 29th and will provide over $394 billion in construction opportunities for contractors involved in renewable energy related projects. The contractors performing this work will be subject to, among other things, prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements for the constructing, altering and repairing of qualified clean energy facilities.
